We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to employees.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for a large number of employees using payroll software (e.

, Kronos, Workday)
- Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy
- Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files
- Prepare and submit payroll reports as required
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and financial reporting
- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in 10-key typing and data entry
- Experience with payroll management systems (e.
g.
, Kronos, Workday)
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes
- Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies or errors
- Knowledge of journal entries, debits, credits, and general ledger
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
