About this position: The Remittance Specialist ensures customer utility transactions are processed timely and accurately according to defined instructions.

About this job: Scan, print, file, sort, route, and retrieve incoming mailings Operate machinery for mail extraction Operate machinery that images bill stubs and checks Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain machinery to function properly Accurately apply customer payments using appropriate equipment/systems/software Balance cash drawer daily; make bank deposits Create reporting and balance with bank deposits from previous day to submit to accounting Assist local offices with payment relates issues Identify and resolve errors and misapplied payments Complete daily queries and processes to ensure accurate and timely payment processing Review daily bank statements, process bank adjustments, and returned payments on customer's accounts Provide customer service/support in relation to payment issues and communications Process Return Mail Participate in task rotation with other team members Work overtime including evenings and weekends when needed Work closely as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks Work in an environment where work volumes change constantly All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives Am I right for this job?
