In this role, you’ll drive company commercial vehicles including, dump truck, side or belly dump, mixer truck, tractor-trailer, water truck, or low-boy to deliver equipment and materials to job sites and customers in the Butte & Anaconda areas.

Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
Be familiar with tag, tailgate position and location of levers and switches.
Ensure quality of product delivered.
Check delivery tickets for special instructions prior to arriving on the job.
When loading, ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner.
Obtain proper signatures as required.
Deliver construction materials to jobsites as instructed.
Ensure proper entry of on-the-job information on customer delivery invoices.
Respond to customer questions related to basic product knowledge and basic construction techniques.
Water roads and plant facilities to control dust.
Work with grade and pave crews and place water on grade rock for compaction reasons.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report maintenance or repair issues.
Be able to climb in and out of truck safely using 3-points of contact.
Be able to manipulate truck steering wheel (power steering), shifter and other various levers and knobs necessary for operation of truck and associated equipment.
Before loading, ensures tailgate is latched and sideboards, and back of truck are free of all materials.
Pull levers to tilt body and dump contents.
Shovel material as required.
Set spreader chains when applicable.
Attach Mixer truck chutes to truck and add materials (fiber, color or other additives) to drum.
Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle.
Investigate abnormalities and perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs.
Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel.
Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to shop personnel.
Perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs (i.
e.
mud flaps and mirror adjustments).
Maintain vehicle in a clean an orderly condition, inside and out.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Assist in keeping driver’s room clean.
Maintain operator logs, time cards, mileage sheets, vehicle repair sheets, and records in accordance with company policy and departmental transportation regulations.
Maintain communication with Dispatcher as necessary regarding deliveries, check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete as required.
Ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner and obtain proper signatures as required.
Maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
May operate front end loader or other equipment.
Perform general clean-up and maintenance as assigned.
Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Requirements: Valid Class A or B CDL unrestricted and current DOT medical card.
Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime as needed.
Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators and other employees.
Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
